Patch 10.13 has been installed on our game servers, we`re online again! We are ready to tell you the changes it has brought.

Changes to battle rewards

As we already announced, rare talents have been removed from match rewards, the Talent Forge/Talent Garden, the Fair, and the Tavern/Tea House. With the removal of blue talents, the number of battle rewards has fallen, but their quality has risen significantly. The maximum number of rewards in battle is now:

Although the number of talents received has been reduced, your chance of receiving exclusive talents and crystals in a match has been increased proportionally. So the number of the better talents has not changed.

Also, we have increased the number of talent upgrade points received from unique talents. Now when another talent is upgraded with purples, the talent will receive 18 points for each instead of 10.

Achievement points and rewards for losing

We decided to review the achievement point system (which affects the final size of the reward for battle) for two reasons:

  1. So that achievements reflect the team's common work towards victory. To this end, some controversial achievements have been reconsidered, including Kamikaze – the player who dies the most.
  2. To increase motivation and boost the losing team's morale. Until now, rewards for the losing team were calculated from only 30% of their points. This 0.3x modifier no longer applies. The losing team will now get 60-100% of the reward amount the winning team gets, depending on the match's duration and intensity.

The ways to divide up points can be split into 4 categories:

1. During the game:

These points are received by all players in the match, regardless of whether they win or lose. The longer the battle, the greater the number of points. The more points, the better the reward.

2. Team goals:

This includes the team's most important goals: victory, destroying towers, and first team boss kill. These points are received by each member of the team.

It seems to us that some achievements, though they represent exciting game moments, often do not actually result from the player's efforts. They are earned accidentally (like Revenge), earned with a simple kill (Pursuit), or depend not on the player's strengths but the characteristics of the player's chosen hero (Massacre). Therefore, the following achievements will no longer score points:

4. Titles:

Titles are special achievements earned by players upon completing a game. You cannot obtain several of them, since you can only have one title at a time.

The maximum number of points is unlimited, as before. Full rewards are awarded at 150 points. Any points beyond that are converted to resources.

Hero start builds and talents awarded for leveling up

Along with the removal of rare talents, we've modified the heroes' starting talent sets. They are now made entirely of unique talents. Also, talents awarded for hero levels are now unique or better.

Changes to Golden Age

Along with the removal of rare talents, Golden Age (which prevented those rare talents from being awarded after battles) has been reworked. Now, instead of replacing rare talents with unique ones, Golden Age increases the chance exclusive talents will drop by 4 times:

All Golden Age benefits in version 10.13:

At the Castle:

  • 2x silver and resource production
  • 3x offers available at the Fair. These offers never expire.

In each battle:

  • 4x chance to get exclusive talents
  • 2x crystal production and chance to get crystals
  • Winning a battle gets all players on your team 2 bonus talents each.
  • Losing a battle gets you 1 bonus talent.
  • 2x silver and resource production.
  • 2x hero and lord XP received.

Note: the number of bonus talents awarded for Golden Age in battle has not changed, meaning that the chance of getting orange talents in the bonus reward has more than doubled.

How the changes to Golden Age affect the game economy:

  • the number of upgrade points received after battle are roughly the same, so upgrade speed will remain unchanged.
  • the number of exclusive talents will be more than doubled thanks to the bonus reward, whose size remains unchanged.

Heroes

Raven

Raven's ability to farm quickly at lower levels has been reduced. Her class passive and ultimate have been weakened.

 

Raven's first month showed that her main problem is her strong predisposition to passive farming, with the help of her class "zero" passive. Despite her almost complete lack of protection and rescue abilities, she can almost always break away from the other heroes. Her ability to earn Prime so quickly puts both teams in a bind: opponents are forced to constantly interfere with this one hero, and allies are forced to spend all their effort supporting Raven.

Warm Welcome:

  • Damage to soldiers and the Touched (including Kiton and Fire Drake) reduced by 2/3.
  • The bonus damage dealt on Native Terrain is now equal to 30% of base damage.
  • Damage reduced by 15%

Firestorm:

  • Ability cooldown time increased from 20 to 30 seconds

 

Pied Piper / Rat Master

Weakened Piper's debuff and early control.

 

Pied Piper's strength is that he remains useful for the team regardless of the amount of Prime he earns. Also, his abilities that depend directly on Strength or Intellect do not depend on his Penetration, allowing a min-maxing focus on the desired stat, ignoring Cunning and Agility altogether. Not that this is a disadvantage. After all, many other heroes in the Support class have abilities that do not depend on Penetration. However, in the Pied Piper's case, many values are such that the piper can, in many cases, ignore not only Penetration but also his level on the whole.

Rat Invasion:

  • The reduction in enemy stats caused by Rat Disease has been reduced by 20%

Call of the Flute:

  • The amount of damage required to destroy the flute has been reduced by 15%

 

Demonologist

The Archons now have additional protection from abilities

 

The Demonologist is very dependent on his Archons. It would be a shame to lose them all in some random massive spell! Fox, Fairy, Moire, the Bard, and a number of other heroes and talents (such as Battle Ecstasy) can now kill the Archons only as much as they hit the Demonologist himself. For intellectual form Demonologist, losing his servants means losing a significant portion of his attack damage. For power form Demonologist, things are worse: each Archon is a third of his damage for his ultimate ability.

Master of the Archons:

  • The Archons now take half damage from abilities.

 

Doctrine

Changed the method for how alchemical circles are placed and increased their total number.

 

The earlier method was very convenient within one lane. It allowed you to adjust the position of each individual circle without having to re-place all of them. However, when moving to a different lane, Doctrine took 1 circle with her. Now placing these circles in a lane is more difficult. However, Doctrine's movement will be basically unlimited. Doctrine now has a total of 1 more circle, and regeneration no longer depends on the heroine's Strength or Intellect.

Alchemical Circle:

  • Setting up a fourth circle now no longer removes the closest or first one set up.
  • The Side Effect has been upgraded. It now restores 1% max energy and increases the number or maximum circles by 4.

 

Defender / Guardian

Ability cast delays reduced.

 

If you look at just the numbers Angel will be even stronger than Healer. However, due to the difficulty of hitting with her ray, this hero was less comfortable to play than Healer/Priestess. This had a significant impact on the game experience. Also, 4 seconds to cast Angel's Flight is too much, especially for the current aggressive metagame.

Angelic Light

  • Animation time reduced by 50%

Angel's Flight:

  • Time to cast reduced from 4 minutes to 3.

 

Luna

Reduced damage's dependency on portals. Strengthened her ultimate abilitiy.

 

Luna still has trouble with low mobility and a high dependence on her portals. A portion of her damage has been transferred to her core talent, and the damage dealt by each portal has been weakened. Thus the damage done by gates has increased but the total damage remains unchanged when all gates are active. Stasis has also been strengthened to make Luna more useful in large-scale brawls, which currently get her into a few problems!

Charged Particle:

  • Damage increased by 15%
  • Bonus damage (Supernova upgrade) incurred by passing through a gate is reduced by 6.5%.

Stasis:

  • Duration increased from 3 to 4 seconds
  • Damage increased by 10%

 

Challenges

Along with the removal of rare talents, we've removed the blue trial from the game.

Battles

  • S.Putnik's comrade now correctly attacks Luna's gates and wards.
  • Now, if an attack order was given before Exemplary Sniper was used on the enemy, S.Putnik will not move to base attack range and will instead immediately stop and begin attacking the target. This also applies to Berserker's Iron Precision ability.
  • The active effect of the talent Fury Dominance can no longer be applied to Kiton or Fire Drake. Reduced the amount of Prime received for killing a soldier from 85 to 75.
  • The Forest Dominance and Forest Might talents are now improved correctly when upgrading.
  • The Illusion of Might talent now correctly adds damage to its base talent.
